Dates and hours of operation are now confirmed for the West Jefferson Farmers Market.
The market will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday from July 5 to Sept. 27 in the parking lot of the former Cardinal grocery store on Main Street.
The operation is the product of the West Jefferson Business Council, an affiliate of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. Member Ray Martin said the council has already secured a few anchoring booths, including Madison Garden Center, Taste of Ohio (a growers association), and the Amish Meat and Cheese Store.
“We still have booths available and are looking for anyone who has something they want to sell,” Martin said.
Sellers who grow vegetables on their land, bake items in their home, or generate handmade crafts from their home can have a 10×10-foot space at no charge. Those selling commercially made products can sign up for the same size space but will pay $5.
All vendors must sign up for a space prior to a market date. For more information, call Jerry Ramage at 614-879-8717 or stop by his office at 82 E. Main St. in West Jefferson during business hours.
