Wild and woolly at the fair

The sheep show took place in the EBY Arena on July 13.

Today’s fair schedule includes:
9 a.m. – Equine Show – Western Classes
10 a.m. – Rabbit Show – Breed/Market
5 p.m. – Swine Showmanship
5 p.m. – Rabbit Showmanship

When London resident Drew Reeves began learning the art of sheep showmanship a year ago, his go-to move to get the animal under control was a headlock. Now, after lots of education and practice, he can call himself a champion showman, having earning first place in the 11-year-old division at this year’s sheep show.
Mackenzie Reeves placed first in the 12- and13-year-old division of the sheep show.
Addison Sims of London impresses the judge with her sheep handling skills. The 12-year-old and member of the Born in a Barn 4-H Club has been showing since she was 7 years old.
A batch of sheep showman keep their eyes on the judge.
No, that’s not a sheep; that’s a goat. Reagan Nichols of London goofs off with “Casy” before the sheep show on July 13. The goat show took place that afternoon.
