Wholesome fun at Lilly Chapel Homecoming

Lilly Chapel Methodist Church hosted its 39th Annual Homecoming on Aug.19. A parade kicked off the festivities. Visitors enjoyed food, crafts, face painting, live music, a kiddie pedal pull, and an auction.

West Jefferson American Legion Post 201 leads the parade into Lilly Chapel to begin the 39th Annual Lilly Chapel Methodist Church Homecoming.
Grand marshals Ralph and Sandy Conner wave and throw candy to people lining the parade route.
Bob Johnson and Mike Bassell keep the hot food coming as they grill bologna, brats, and hamburgers.
The Madison-Plains marching band performs in the parking lot after the parade.
Pearl Wilson sports a face painting while participating in the kiddie pedal pull. Pearl finished second with a final pull of 16 feet 2 inches.
Mathew Wilson keeps his eye on the finish line in the kiddie pedal pull. After a pull-off with his sister, he won the division with a final pull of 24 feet 5 inches.
