West Jefferson Class of 2020: Facts and photos

Jefferson Local Schools broadcasted a pre-recorded virtual graduation video via its website on May 22. Graduates picked up their diplomas in a drive-through arrangement on May 23.
Of the 91 students in the class, eight graduated with honors diplomas and 23 were members of National Honor Society.

The valedictorians and their post-graduation plans are: Bailey Adkins (The Ohio State University, neuroscience), Caleb Artega (The Ohio State University), and Dominic Von Frybarger (Wright State University, ROTC, nursing). The salutatorians are Alaina Hitzeman (The Ohio State University) and Calista Wallace (Navy Reserve). Isabella Rhoden won the outstanding vocational student award; she plans to go into cosmetology.

The class officers include: Brenton Robertson, president; Grace Shields, vice president; Julianna Brunicardi, secretary; Peyton Taylor, treasurer; Bailey Adkins, historian, and Alaina Hitzeman, public relations.

The class flower is the rose. The class colors are black and white. The class song is “Life is a Highway” by Rascal Flatts. The class motto is a line from the song, “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw: “Chase your dreams but always know the road that will lead you home again.”
