Be prepared for an evening with many more treats than tricks.
Jefferson Local Schools vocal director Rachel Armas has once again assembled a hauntingly talented group of students to present the school’s annual Halloween Cabaret Night. The event takes place on Oct. 25 at West Jefferson High School, 1 Roughrider Dr., West Jefferson.
A chili dinner (chili, cornbread, dessert and drinks) begins at 6 p.m. and is $5. The free cabaret performance begins at 6:30 p.m. A costume contest is planned for all children ages through high school. To enter chili in the cook-off, contact Armas at rarmas@westjeff.org.
The event is a fundraiser for the high school and middle school choir programs.
The cabaret performers hail from sixth through 12th grade. Students were selected through an audition process. Singing and dancing are on the agenda.
Among the performers are Alexa Bogenrife, Santino Carnevale, Michael Catapano, Nathaniel Dersom, Nicole Evans, Celina Jeffers, Erica Lewis, Nick McGlothlin, Hannah Messer, Ivie Nicholas, Brianna Russell, Loraine Stone, Isabel Swindall and Aleithia Wilson. The high school’s Chamber Singers and Concert Choir are performing, as well.
