Despite the rain, the third grade students at Stiles Elementary School are all smiles as they participate in a school-wide walkathon on May 3. Walkathon organizer Kristina Newton, who is also a teacher at the school, said the students had raised more than $2,100 for this event, which will go toward the purchase of buses to take them on educational field trips throughout the region.
