Aaron Boerger

Occupation: Farmer/dispatcher. Springfork Farms/ATL Inc.

Previous experience in public office: Prior four years Pike Township trustee.

Education/military experience: Associates degree in ag business.

Community activities/honors: Active member of Milford Center Lions Club. Madison County Farm Bureau member.

What would you like to accomplish if elected? As a 28-year resident of Pike Township, I’ve seen the wonderful decisions made and carried out to keep this township kept up to high standards. I will continue this by maintaining roadways and ditches along with the cemeteries in the township. I will also do my best to keep down the cost of fire and EMS while at the same time providing quick service.

Jim Stewart

1570 Rosedale Road, Irwin

Occupation: Farmer, Stewart Farm.

Previous experience in public office: I was appointed to the Madison County Board of Zoning Appeals and have served from 2003 to the present. I was elected to the Madison County Soil and Water Conservation Board of Supervisors and served from 1991 to 2005.

Education/military experience: I graduated from Fairbanks High School. I also attended Ohio State University and Urbana University.

Community activities/honors: Married to Sherry for 39 years. We have three grown children, Jamie, Wesley, Bryon, and four grandchildren. Active member of Milford Center Lions Club. 2006 Soil and Water Conservation Cooperator of the Year. Past president Madison County Farm Bureau board. Past president Madison County Soil and Water Conservation District. Past member Madison County Fair Board. Past president of the Darby Watershed Joint Board of Supervisors. Member of Citizens Against Refuge Proposal (CARP). Former 4-H advisor.

What would you like to accomplish if elected? I would like to work with county officials on much needed road and bridge upgrades. I would work toward better understanding of Township 937 phone residents, 911 calls and cell phone 911 calls being routed through Urbana and not knowing they’re from Pike Township. I would continue the policy of up to date township equipment, the township building for official and community use, snow removal, cemetery care, and ditch mowing. Proposal of a township park.
