Members of the Groveport Youth Athletic Association and community volunteers cleaned up and groomed the baseball/softball diamonds to get them ready for the season at Groveport Elementary and Glendening Elementary on April 2. Scrub grass and weeds were removed from the infield, trash picked up, and the infield was smoothed out.
This trio of volunteers “land surfed” and added their body weight while standing on a grader as it was pulled by a truck around Diamond B at Groveport Elementary. The grader loosened grass and weeds and smoothed out the infield dirt.
Volunteers groomed the area around home plate at Diamond B at Groveport Elementary.
