OSU Extension-Madison County is hosting a special edition “stay-at-home” farmers’ breakfast series. All of the programs will be held virtually, but the first 30 participants to register will receive a gift card for a free coffee and doughnut from Der Dutchman, thanks to sponsorship from Farm Bureau.
The first meeting is set for 8 to 9 a.m. April 17. Aaron Wilson of the State Climatology Office will kick off the meeting with a weather forecast. Then, Scott Shearer of the Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department will talk about soil compaction.
The next meeting is set for 8 to 9 a.m. April 24. Once again, Aaron Wilson of the State Climatology Office will kick off the meeting with a weather forecast. Then, John Fulton of the Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department will talk about sprayer and planter set-up to maximize yield.
