Violet hearing postponed

A public hearing on an application to rezone three acres located on the west side of Pickerington Road in Violet Township and owned by Pickerington Church of the Nazarene has been granted a continuance.

Brent Baxter, of The McKnight Group, told the Violet Township trustees Aug. 15 that unforeseen site engineering dilemmas have created delays that must be resolved before the rezoning application moves forward.

The new hearing is slated for Sept. 19, 8 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 12970 Rustic Drive, Pickerington. The hearing will cover proposed rezoning of this area from the Planned District to the R-2, Single Family Residential District to accommodate church related facilities.
