Victims identified in fatal shooting in West Jefferson

At approximately 5:25 p.m. on May 24, the West Jefferson Police Department received a 911 call. The caller reported seeing a male with a possible gunshot wound lying at the rear of 127 Jackson St.

West Jefferson Police responded to the scene and found a male lying just outside the entry door. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

In checking the house for suspects and additional victims, officers found two males and one female inside. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims have been identified as:

• Andrew Thomas Swindall, 45, who resided at 127 Jackson St.;
• Shawn A. Wright, 45, of London;
• Jamie Danielle Lavendar, 30, of Springfield; and
• Leon Billy Daniels, 38, of London.

Police Chief Chris Floyd reported that there is no suspect information at this time.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are assisting West Jefferson Police with the investigation.
