The city of Groveport and American Legion Robert Dutro Post 486 will host the annual Veterans Day ceremony on Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. in Veterans Park, 421 Main St., Groveport.

Motts Military Museum Director Warren Motts will serve as the master of ceremonies.

The dedication address will be given by Dr. Dana Robinson-Street, Lt., U.S. Navy, who served in Operation Desert Storm. Since retiring from the Navy, Robinson-Street has devoted her post-military years to helping improve the lives of veterans, ensuring that they have access to services and benefits and ensuring that they have a healthy transition from military service.

The ceremony will include the recognition of 32 veterans who will have bricks commemorating them placed in Veterans Park. Among the veterans recognized this year are several who are 1973 graduates of Groveport Madison High School.

All are invited to a reception immediately following the ceremony at Motts Military Museum, 5075 South Hamilton Road, Groveport.

Commemorative bricks may be purchased to honor veterans and good standing military members in any branch of the United States Military. Bricks can be ordered for insertion next year by contacting Groveport Town Hall Community Affairs Director Patty Storts 614-830-2055.
