United Way accepting grant applications from local non-profits

United Way of Clark, Champaign and Madison Counties awards grants to non-profit organizations and programs that provide services in at least one of three impact areas–health, education, and/or income–and serve residents of Clark, Champaign and/or Madison counties.

Non-profit organizations are invited to apply in each of the three counties, as long as they have a presence in that county. All funds raised in a county stay in that county and are allocated accordingly. All applications are reviewed, evaluated, and discussed by local community volunteers, then recommendations must be approved through the United Way of Clark, Champaign & Madison Counties’ board of directors. Award notifications will be sent out in June 2022.

Applications can be found on the United Way website (uwccmc.org) under the “Programs & Agencies” tab.

To be eligible for a United Way grant, organizations must meet all of the following criteria:
• have non-profit status under state law;
• have paid or volunteer staff and a governing board that holds regular meetings;
• provide services in Clark, Champaign or Madison counties; and
• provide services without discrimination on the basis of race, sex, creed, age or national origin.

Applications must be submitted online before 5 p.m. March 25, 2022.
