Andrew Weber gives two thumbs up as he rides down the “fun box” at West Jefferson’s newly equipped skateboard park. Last year, Weber encouraged village council to install new equipment. To that end, the village applied for and received a Nature Works Grant through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The equipment cost $51,540, $38,655 of which the grant covered; the village covered the remaining $12,855 through its park development.
