Tolles’ future health professionals, part of HOSA, a career-technical student organization, will host their annual HOSA Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 15 at 7877 U.S. Rte. 42 S., Plain City. The event is free and open to the public.
“The goal of the HOSA Health Fair is to have students provide interactive displays on topics related to health and wellness, exercise, medication usage, nutrition and animal health,” said Karen Rossetter, instructor of the Tolles exercise science program. “It provides a hands-on learning experience for the students and gives them an opportunity to interact with the public on a more personal level while providing screenings and services.”
Various health screenings are available to the public including blood pressure, vision, hearing, and fitness. Additionally, the pre-vet program will display live animals.
HOSA is a national student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education (HSE) Division of ACTE. HOSA’s two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the healthcare industry and to enhance the delivery of quality healthcare to all people.
