This year the Adopt-A-Family program is recruiting "angels" from our community to help provide some Christmas cheer to the children of families in our Groveport Madison school district who need a little extra help this holiday season.
Angels from all over our community are asked to provide coats, hats, gloves, socks, underwear, pajamas, and two gifts from the child’s Christmas wish list. In addition, each angel community is asked to provide a box of pantry food items for the family to have on hand while the children are home on winter break from school. A grocery gift card is also suggested to help with the purchase of perishable items.
To become an angel, call Go Groveport at (614) 836-7939. Financial donations to the GMAAF Fund are also accepted at the Huntington Bank in Groveport.
Bierberg Mercantile

•"Be a Part of the Art" guest artist series, Thursday, Dec. 7, 7 p.m. The Arts Alliance of Southeastern Ohio is pleased to bring local oil painter Patty Sykes from Canal Winchester to its monthly guest artist series. Join us as Ms. Sykes talks with us about her talent and showcases her art. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Refreshments provided.
•Holiday Massage, Saturday, Dec. 15, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. If you could use a quick "pick me up" relaxing massage before finishing your Christmas shopping or heading out to your next holiday event, stop in to Go Groveport on this day to receive a massage from one of our two featured massage therapists.
