Thousands of people descended on the city of Grove City for the 39th annual Arts in the Alley event, which is sponsored by the Grove City Chamber of Commerce. Throughout the weekend of Sept. 15, dozens of vendors displayed their handmade arts and crafts while even more curious fans browsed and purchased said creations. In addition to the vendor booth, a kids’ play zone was also a popular attraction for families. Here, Jan Evans talks about her handcrafted quilt, ‘Men Chasing Kangaroos,’ at the quilt exhibit. Evans said the piece was inspired by her trip to Australia as well as her love for kangaroos.

Artist Adnan Quedar paints an ocean view on canvas in his booth.
