The walls of the new Groveport Madison High School are rising behind the existing high school as construction progresses. The boys’ locker rooms (at right) of the old school can be seen behind piles of new block to be used for the new structure. According to Smoot Construction representatives, the project is at its halfway point and on schedule. The new high school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2018. On Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. at Groveport Town Hall, 648 Main St., the Groveport Heritage Society will host a presentation by Jeff Warner, communications officer for Groveport Madison Local Schools, where Warner will present a virtual computer tour of the new high school. Viewers will be able to “walk through the halls” and see the plans for the building.
