The Grove City community is invited to celebrate a full day of holiday spirit at the Grove City Christmas Celebration, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2 in the Town Center. Activities are sponsored by the city of Grove City and Grove City Town Center Inc.
Shop for unique, creative gift items, decorations, artwork and delicious treats to enjoy or share with others while strolling through festive market spaces. Included in the Mistletoe Market is a Secret Santa shop located in the Grove City Museum for children to purchase gifts to present to loved ones, a tradition of giving celebrated around the world. Mistletoe Market vendors offer holiday crafts for sale in City Hall, Grove City Brewery, Plum Run Winery and other Town Center businesses. A map of Mistletoe Market locations is available on the Grove City Town Center website grovecitytowncenter.org. Visitors can vote for their favorite Town Center business holiday window from Saturday, Dec. 2 to Saturday, Dec. 9. Stop by any business or the Grove City Museum, 3378 Park St., for a ballot.
Christmas traditions continue when the Grove City Community Winds performs “A Christmas Celebration” at 11 a.m. in the Grove City High School auditorium, 4665 Hoover Road. Admission is a charitable donation of canned goods for the Grove City Food Pantry.
From 2 to 6:30 p.m. in the George Edge Music Park on Broadway, children can meet Santa and parents can take their own photo or receive one for a $5 contribution to T.W.I.G. 184 benefiting Nationwide Children’s Hospital. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. check out Santa’s reindeer at the corner of Civic Place and Broadway. Watch a sculptor transform blocks of ice into holiday icons from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Jackson Street and Broadway.

The Grove City Community parade steps off at 7 p.m. and winds through the Town Center along Wilbur Avenue, Columbus Street, Broadway and Park Street. After the parade wraps up, Santa returns to help Mayor Richard L. “Ike” Stage and City Council members light the community tree in the George Edge Music Park on Broadway.
The city continues its Christmas tribute to the Nutcracker with an animated window display reminiscent of retail displays from the 1950s depicting fanciful scenes from the classic tale of Clara and the battle between her beloved Nutcracker and the Mouse King at City Hall, 4035 Broadway. The display operates Monday through Friday from 4 to 10 p.m. and from noon to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday until Friday, Jan. 5.
