Taste of Reynoldsburg draws large crowd

Jeff Edminster and his scout Jerrod Knight, 8 represent Troop 1147.  This was the first year that Boy Scouts of America have participated in The Taste of Reynoldsburg and Edminster stated they are planning to return next year.

About 5000 people enjoyed the food and exhibits of the Reynoldsburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s 10th annual Taste of Reynoldsburg Tuesday, Aug. 14 at Taylor Road Elementary.  

"This is an event the whole family can enjoy, with a fun and friendly atmosphere for families and it’s a great way to spend an evening," said Kristy Winkler of the Reynoldsburg Chamber of Commerce planning committee.  

Restaurant vendors charged between $1 and $3 for small portions of their dishes allowing participants to sample a variety of gourmet foods.

In addition restaurants, local organizations such as the West Licking Fire Department and A.D.O.P.T.- Pet Rescue provided information about their services.

Among the many attractions were hot air balloon rides, the musical talent of Eric Solomon and Columbus Crew members who gave autographs.
