U.S. Army veteran Kerry Proffitt tries on a new suit as fellow Army veteran David Rice looks on during the third annual Suits for Heroes, held June 1-3 at David Evangelical Lutheran Church, 300 Groveport Road. Hosted by H. E. R. O. E. S. Care, the event provides a new suit and accessories for veterans and military personnel transitioning to civilian life. Veterans reintegrating into their communities are assisted in selecting and fitting a suit for use in job search and employment. H. E. R. O. E. S. Care Ohio Area Coordinator Madel O-Neil said, “A total of 720 suits – along with shirts, shoes, socks, ties and sport jackets – were given to veterans. All of the suits are new. Our soldiers deserve that. Our volunteers did an awesome job!” Visit https://heroescare.org for information about H.E.R.O.E.S. Care.
