The 2017 London Strawberry Festival will take place June 22-24 on and around Main Street in downtown London.
Thursday, June 22
10:30 a.m.-noon—Contest registration and check-in at city council chambers, 6 E. Second St.: toy building, window/house/yard decorating, stories and poetry, coloring, art, photogenic, cake and cookie decorating
11 a.m.—Opening ceremony and all vendors open
11:10 a.m.—Stage practice for Shortcakes, Little, Young, Junior and Miss pageant contestants
6:20 p.m.—Shortcake, Little and Young Miss royalty contests on main stage
6:30-8:30 p.m.—Smoke & Mirrors, Strawberry Stage
7 p.m.—Junior and Miss contests on main stage, followed by announcement of Miss Photogenic winner and performance by Simba Jordan
10:30 p.m.—Festival closes
Friday, June 23
11 a.m.—Festival and all vendors open
1-7 p.m.—Red Cross blood drive
4:45—Thunderfoot karate demonstration
5 p.m.—Car show
6-8 p.m.—Six to Noon performs, main stage
6:30-8:30 p.m.—Majestic Dreamers, Strawberry stage
7-8 p.m.—Strawberry food contest check-in at information booth
7:30 p.m.—Kiddie tractor pull at Huntington Bank, prizes awarded immediately and photos taken
8-8:15 p.m.—Food contest judging
8:30-10 p.m.—The Wegains perform 1960s rock, main stage
8:30 p.m.—Car show awards
11 p.m.—Festival closes
Saturday, June 24
9 a.m.—Baby contest on main stage with photos immediately following
9 a.m.—All vendors open
9 a.m.-1 p.m.—Young Eagles Rally at Madison County Airport
9 a.m.-3 p.m.—London AC COBRA car show at courthouse square
10 a.m.—5K, register online
11 a.m.—Radio station live broadcast
11 a.m.-4 p.m.—Ride special
Noon—Second Chance performs
1:30-3:30 p.m.—Queens luncheon
3—Through The Red performs
4 p.m.—Parade line-up at park
5 p.m.—Grand parade followed by festival introductions and crowning of the 2017 queen at the main stage; grand marshal recognized; contest and parade awards announced; karaoke winners perform at the end of the crowning
5 p.m.—Motorcycle show
6 p.m.—7-Mile Bluegrass Band
7 p.m.—Motorcycle show awards
8 p.m.—Smokin’ Ham Band
9 p.m.—50/50 raffle winner announced
11 p.m.—Rides and festival closes
