St. Patrick School, 226 Elm St., London, will host its 14th Annual All-County Dance for students in grades six through eight. The event is set for 7 to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 10 in the school’s parish activity and recreation center.

Students from all Madison County schools and area Catholic schools are invited to attend. Admission is $6 at the door. A live deejay will provide the music. Refreshments will be served. Participants can choose to have their pictures taken for a small fee.

“We usually have 150 to 200 students attend, quite a few from London and Madison-Plains particularly,” said Dr. Jacob Froning, St. Patrick principal.

Parents set up the dance and serve as chaperones, as do members of the school administration.

The dance serves as a fundraiser for St. Patrick’s eighth-grade trip to Washington D.C., slated for April 8-11. The packed itinerary includes visits to Arlington Cemetery, the Capitol, monuments and museums. Ten students, plus parents and a faculty member, are making the trip this year.

Students also offset trip costs by working the entrance gate at the Madison County Fair, selling concessions at basketball games, and selling submarine sandwiches.
