With Easter early this year it has seemed like a long wait for the warmer, gentler days of spring to finally arrive, but at last it is here and now we can kick in to full gear those activities that, when they are on our calendar, we know that summer is just a skip away – activities like prom, Mother’s Day, and graduations.

AVON is the April merchant in the Mercantile. Look for the special coupon in today’s paper to receive a free gift from AVON independent sales representative and Go Groveport member Paula Ewart. Connect with Groveport returns! This bi-annual event returns again on Friday, May 2, from 4-7 p.m. at the Groveport Recreation Center, 7370 Groveport Road.
Meet and greet with over 50 local area vendors as they showcase their spring/summer activity schedules, new products and business features.
New to the event this year:
•Vendor table decorating contest! You get to be the judge for this fun and friendly contest! All expo attendees can vote on the best decorated table. Winners will receive an honorary award from Go Groveport President Niels Hansen.
•Best Ice Cream Ever Contest! Join the fun by creating your own delicious cold concoction. "Celebrity" judges will be on hand with the difficult task of choosing their favorite selection. Prizes awarded to the top three entries.
•Enter and win! Attend the expo, complete a survey and be entered to win one of two $50 gas cards or other additional prizes.
Groveport Farmers’ Market returns for the fourth consecutive year, June-August, every Thursday, from 5-7 p.m., at our new location on the front lawn of Groveport Elementary School, 715 Main St.
Call for vendors currently being accepted. Cost is $10/week, payable at the market or $8/week if securing a spot for the entire 13 weeks. One free spot available per week for non-profit fundraiser. Call Go Groveport for information.
