Spring clean-up

On May 1, more than 100 volunteers across Franklin County participated in the 19th annual South Central Hilltop Spring Clean-up to beautify sections of Sullivant Avenue and its connector streets around Burroughs Elementary School. Among those who volunteered their time in this massive undertaking was Groveport residents Charles Burger and his wife, LaToya Dowdell-Burger (not pictured). For close to two hours, the duo picked up trash and other debris found on the sidewalks and in the curbs, like this car mat presumably thrown from a vehicle.
