Splash pad to open in Grove City

The Grove City Parks and Recreation Department and Grove City YMCA will mark the grand opening of the new Grove City Splash Pad at Fryer Park, 3600 Discovery Drive, with a ceremonial ribbon cutting at noon Saturday, May 19.

The bright, colorful interactive water play structures follow Discovery Frontier’s space theme and include a rocket slide and a variety of whimsical spray effects with accessibility for all.

“We are continually working to improve our park offerings,” said Mayor Richard L. “Ike” Stage. “I am excited to expand our partnership with the YMCA to benefit families in our community.”

The Grove City Splash Pad at Fryer Park is a cooperative effort of Grove City Parks and Recreation and the Grove City YMCA, open to the public for free use, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Labor Day on days school is not in session.
