South Charleston Photos: Revisiting ancient Rome

Danielle Lefevers and Alex Smith work on a display about recreation, games and gladiators of ancient Rome. The project was part of a display put on by Miami View seventh-graders on Jan. 30. The event was open to the public and included food representative of the era. Every year, Tom Mescher’s social studies students explore the history of an ancient culture. Previously, they have studied Egypt and Greece. This was the first year for Rome.
