The Opera House at South Charleston Town Hall was hopping on New Year’s Eve. Seventy-one guests and 20 volunteers dressed in Civil War-era garb to enjoy dinner, dancing and a toast at midnight. New to the event was an auction that raised $400 for the South Charleston Heritage Commission. Among the attendees were (top) Springfield area residents Becky and Calvin Laywell and South Charleston resident Leslie Arendt, as well as (bottom) Norma McAfee. |
