The annual Christmas in South Charleston celebration is set for 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 5.
Once again, the grand prize in the event’s raffle is $500. The winner will be announced at the end of the night at DeLong Mechanical, 19 S. Chillicothe St.
Members of the Community Club, which hosts Christmas in South Charleston, are selling the tickets for $1 each or $5 for six. The tickets represent not only chances to win $500, but also opportunities to score smaller cash sums and dozens of other goodies.
Many local businesses and individuals have donated everything from $25 and $50 cash prizes to gift certificates, gift baskets, homebaked goods, golf and related accessories, home decorations and even an American flag. The prize list is nearly 60 items long and growing.
