Snowflake Dance benefits Adopt-A-Family program

Dee Jones (far left), organizer of West Jefferson’s Adopt-A-Family program, accepts a donation of $1,000 from the village of West Jefferson represented by: Becky Arnott, finance director; Shelton Stanley, special events and recreation manager; Amanda Adkins, assistant special events manager; and Mayor Ray Martin as Santa.

The funds were raised at the parks and recreation department’s Snowflake Dance for children held Dec. 15. Admission was a $1 donation, and donations were collected for concessions.

The Adopt-A-Family program provides Christmas gifts for families in need in West Jefferson.
