‘Smile for the camera!’

The Humane Society of Madison County hosted Pictures with Santa on Dec. 3 inside the West Jefferson Community Center. Humans and animals alike were welcome to pose for photos with Old St. Nick. The event served as a fundraiser for the Humane Society.

London resident Amy Conner and her Labradoodle, 8-year-old Dusty, decided on a whim to pose for a Christmas photo. They were in West Jefferson for a veterinarian visit for the family cat, Wilbur.
Before posing for this picture, Moose stretched out on the couch next to Santa. The 10-month-old Great Dane and his owner, Kayliegh Blackwell of West Jefferson, now have a Christmas keepsake, thanks to the Humane Society of Madison County
Remy the Dachschund and Graci the Border Collie Shepherd are decked out in holiday outfits for their turn in front of the camera. The pups and their owners, Vicki Cox (left) and Kellie Wolfe (right), stopped into the West Jefferson Community Center on Dec. 3 for Photos with Santa hosted by the Humane Society of Madison County.
