Small cannon, big tribute

Vince Benedetti stands back after lighting the fuse on a cannon during Memorial Day services at South Solon Cemetery. The May 26 tribute is the first time the half-scale, six-pound Napoleon has been fired at a ceremony.
South Solon’s services also included a parade led by a military color guard and the Madison-Plains High School band.
