On Dec. 8, dozens of individuals who have music in their hearts and rhythm in their souls came out to have a night of fun during the inaugural Karaoke and Dance Party held at the E.L. Evans Senior Center. Hosted by the Grove City Parks and Recreation Department, the hour-and-a-half long adaptive event offered children, teenagers, and adults throughout the region a chance to showcase their skills at the mic and on the dance floor while making a few new friends along the way. Among the dozens of individuals who decided to come out and cut a rug during the night’s festivities were Jennifer Mathias and her daughter Tana. The dancing queens who hail from Grove City said they had a fantastic time and were looking forward to attending more dancing parties in the future. Mike Jech, the department’s sports programming coordinator, said they intend to host a karaoke and dance party once every quarter.
