The following are among the pets up for adoption at the Humane Society of Madison County.

Joy and Marshmellow
Meet the gorgeous, Joy and Marshmellow. This sister-brother duo came to the shelter through no fault of their own after their owner could no longer keep them. They are a baonded pair and look to each other for love and comfort. As such, they need to be adopted together.

Joy is about 4 years old. She loves getting lots of love and pets. She has a very sweet temperament and will walk away when she wants a little alone time.

Marshmellow

Marshmellow, aka Mellow is about 6.5 years old. As his name suggests, Mellow is a laid-back guy who loves nothing more than lots of pets, love, and a nice warm lap.

The siblings adore cuddling with each other. They are big fans of cat toys and would love to have plenty to play with in their forever home. Both are great with other cats and with kids. Both have been exposed to dogs and have been a bit on the fearful side. They could probably be acclimated to a dog that allows them space and plenty of time to adjust.

If you would like to meet this dynamic duo and possibly add them to your household, fill out an application and schedule a meet-and-greet.

The adoption fees for cats are $100 for kittens up to 6 months old and $80 for cats 7 months and older. It includes: a FeLV/FIV test (if old enough), spay or neuter, set of shots, deworming, and a one-year rabies shot (if old enough). Fees can be paid by cash or credit card.
