Before sporting events, these students at Grove City High School traditionally wear crimson and blue to show off their spirit. But that tradition changed on Feb. 8 when they sported pink hues to show off their spirit for another cause. Organized by junior Mary Gilbert, shown second from the left in the second row, the student section donned the lighter colors to support the Pink Ribbon Girls, a local non-profit that provides free meals, housecleaning, rides to treatment and peer support for individuals with breast or gynecological cancers. Gilbert said half of the proceeds at the door, and half from ribbon and food sales, will go directly to the organization.
