Senior Week: Plans abound for Senior Week

The Madison County Senior Center, 280 W. High St., London, will host the following activities in celebration of National Senior Citizens Week, May 19-23. For more information, call 740-852-3001.

Monday, May 19: Card party and dessert potluck from noon to 3 p.m.

Tuesday, May 20: Senior Fair Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Door prizes will be given away. The Madison County-London City Health Department will conduct free blood pressure and glucose screenings, as well as a dental clinic. The Madison Co. Diabetes Association will offer diabetes-friendly food samples.

Wednesday, May 21: Bob and Dortha Feddern of West Jefferson will be inducted into the Central Ohio Senior Hall of Fame in Columbus. Also from 9 a.m. to noon, Social Security representatives will be at the senior center to answer questions; adults of any age are welcome to attend.

Thursday, May 22: Volunteer recognition dinner and entertainment at 6 p.m.

Friday, May 23: Madison County Emergency Medical Services will conduct blood pressure checks from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Individuals who enjoy lunch at the center will get to build their own sundae desserts between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
