Senior Center plans special events for May 13-17

The Madison County Senior Citizens Center, 280 W. High St., London, has planned a full week of special activities, along with their regularly scheduled activities, in recognition and appreciation of senior citizens.

The Senior Cafe serves lunch Monday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The cost is $6 for seniors and $6.50 for anyone younger than 55 years old. A special lunchtime is being offered on Friday, May 17 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. For more information, call (740) 852-3001.

May 13–8:30 a.m., indoor walking and exercise class;

9 a.m., chair volleyball;

9:30 a.m., crocheting, knitting and needle crafts; 10:30 a.m., sitting exercise and strengthening;

1 p.m., Senior Week euchre tournament

May 14–9 a.m.-1 p.m., Senior Fair featuring the following vendors and agencies:

May 15–8:30 a.m., indoor walking and exercise class; 9 a.m., chair volleyball; 10:30 a.m., Clippers game trip departure; 12 p.m., bridge; 1 p.m., Senior Week bingo

May 16–9 a.m., chair volleyball and Senior Week lunchtime raffle

May 17–8:30 a.m., indoor walking/exercise class; 9 a.m., painting class; 11 a.m.-12 p.m., Senior Week lunch; 12-1 p.m., ice cream social for Senior Center members; 1 p.m., free movie for members.
