On March 22, the bison herd at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park was grazing close to one of the walking trails, giving park visitors a great view. The park is located just outside of West Jefferson.
On March 22, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton, M.D., MPH, announced a “Stay at Home” order that goes into effect at 11:59 p.m. March 23 and will remain in effect until 11:59 p.m. April 6, unless the order is rescinded or modified.
As of now, individuals are still permitted to go to public parks and open outdoor recreation areas, providing they comply with social distancing requirements. (Note that the state has ordered public access playgrounds to close because they may increase the spread of COVID-19.)
