Etna Road Elementary "Book Fair Blizzard" Etna Road Elementary School in Whitehall held its book fair October 8-19. Parent volunteer, Rebecca Scott, creatively built an igloo to coincide with the event’s theme, "Book Fair Blizzard."Scott has two children at the school in third and fifth grades, and often helps with creative ideas for various events. She constructed the igloo from a tent, an old entertainment center and thrift store sheets at her own expense. |

Grandfriends Day Etna Road Elementary student, Michael Adkins, Jr., thought the pizza he shared with his grandparents, Roy and Judy Adkins, was finger lickin’ good. October 12 was the tenth Grandfriends Day event at the Whitehall school. Grandparents and Grandfriends visited their students’ rooms throughout the day, as well. |

Rotary Club donates dictionaries
Reynoldsburg-Pickerington Rotary Club members Mary Hudson and William Shorthill present third-grade students at French Run Elementary School in Reynoldsburg with dictionaries Oct. 16. The project, part of the Rotarians’ world-wide effort to promote literacy, started locally hree years and nearly 1,500 dictionaries have been given away in that time. |
