The Rhythm & Rib Fest took place on London’s downtown streets Aug. 5-6.

Carlos Hood moves a rack of ribs from one burner to another to add the barbecue sauce along with barbecued chicken. Hood, who cooks for Big Pappy’s BBQ, said the ribs had been cooking for about four hours.
The Gas Pump Jockeys entertain the crowd during dinner hour on Friday night.
Big Pappy’s BBQ and Off The Bone BBQ, along with Wilson’s Family BBQ, offered up ribs and more for hungry visitors at the London Rhythm & Rib Fest.
Participants in the London Kiwanis Club’s BBQ Boogie 5K run/walk take off from the starting line.

 

Glen Williams, a new resident of London, is ready for dinner with a rack of ribs from Off the Bone BBQ. Fries and a cold beer rounded out the meal. Williams said the ribs were delicious.
London Mayor Patrick Closser sits on the dunk tank for Dunk A Dignitary on Friday evening. All proceeds benefited the London Area Baseball Council.
Festival patrons enjoy ribs, listen to music, and visit local crafters.
