The event also features a health fair sponsored by Diley Ridge Medical Center.Runners at the Running Scared 5K could sign up for the 5K or a 1-miler. The 1-miler racers started after the 5K and ran in a different direction this year.The Running Scared 5K has grown annually. This year there were 125 starters which is just over a third more than last year’s race.Within the Running Scared 5K event is a health fair. Diley Ridge Medical Center sponsored the health fair which showcased companies from around the area that serve residents of Canal Winchester.The Hamilton Family signed up for the 1-miler and dressed as characters from video games. “I just wanted to sign us up as ‘The gamers,’” Valerie Hamilton laughed. This is the second year the whole family has participated as characters from video games.
