On every Wednesday since October, these 12 fourth grade students at Darby Woods Elementary have met after school to participate in Kara Crowley’s Robotics Club. The goal of the club, explained Crowley, was to give students at a Title I school the opportunity to experience the beginnings of a STEM education with the use of Lego creations, most of which have to be synchronized with computers in order to fully perform. Here, the students show off some of the robotic creations they have made throughout the duration of this years’ club.
Doran Patton runs a computer program to jumpstart this robot while teammate Kaden Winters takes notes.
