Reynoldsburg’s Fourth of July festivities will include an evening of fun for families that includes fireworks, entertainment and food.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m. July 3 at Civic Park on Daugherty Drive for the city’s Independence Day celebration, which includes inflatables, concessions, and food trucks.
The acoustic-folk rock band Ruvane will perform from 6:30 to 7 p.m. and rock-n-roll band Franklin Xpress will play from 7-9 p.m. The fireworks begin at 9:45 p.m.
On July 4, the city’s annual Fourth of July parade will kick off at 10 a.m. at Main Street and Rosehill Road. It will travel east on Main to Haft Drive, and will end at Huber Park. Anna Clendenen will serve as this year’s grand marshal.
In the event of rain, Donna Bauman, director of the city’s parks and recreation department, said the rain date for the fireworks will be July 5.
“If we cancel on the 3rd of July, only the fireworks would take place on the 5th of July,” she said. “All other activities scheduled would be cancelled.”
The parade, however, will go on July 4 rain or shine, she said.
In years past, the July 4 festivities have included a Firecracker 5K run, but this year, that event was cancelled, said Mary Hudson, director of the Reynoldsburg Visitors Bureau.
