“The second annual Reynoldsburg Winter Farmers’ Market has had a great season,” said Kristin Hampton-Harmon, Reynoldsburg Farmers’ Market Manager.
Feb. 23 from 4-7 p.m. is the final day for the winter market season. The market is located in the Senior Center, 1520 Davidson Drive, and features 22 vendors offering honey, meat and eggs, homemade granola, gourmet snack pretzels, fresh breads, jellies and a variety of crafts.
Hampton-Harmon said the Columbus Garden Coach will be on hand Feb. 23 to give free advice. Also, Allison Hendricks, a food educator from Franklin Park Conservatory, is creating a special recipe to sample using mainly ingredients found at the market.
Two food trucks are scheduled for Feb. 23.
“The Ninja Bowl will have a menu of bowls full of veggies, rice and your choice of meats,” said Hampton-Harmon. “Java Brava will be bringing gourmet coffees and teas.”
SNAP recipients are able to shop for food items with their EBT benefits at six of the winter vendors. Staff at the market booth can process their card for any amount desired and give them wooden tokens to spend, according to Hampton-Harmon.
