Tomato Festival queen candidates being sought

The Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival is seeking candidates for the 2007 Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival Queen and Court. Members of the court will travel throughout the neighboring communities and represent the city and festival.

Young ladies ages 16-18 entering the 11th or 12th grade who live in the Reynoldsburg school district are eligible. Candidates may complete an application or nominations for a candidate may be made. Nominations for candidates can be made be by sending a resume of 100 words or less about the nominee, plus the nominee’s name, address, and phone number, the name of the person nominating the candidate and the address and phone number of the nominator.

Applications must be returned by July 31. The Queen and Court must be willing and able to attend at least 15 festivals during their year’s reign. This year the pageant will be Sunday Sept. at 4 p.m.

Sign up for Tomato Festival Little Princess pageant

 The Little Princess Pageant is open to all girls enrolled in the second grade for the 2007-2008 school year living in the Reynoldsburg school district.  The Little Princess pageant is Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. on the stage.  

The Little Princess and attendant are chosen by chance.  The candidates names are placed  in a basket, than the current Little Princess Attendant and Princess draw the name of their successors.  The young ladies are introduced and interviewed before the lucky winners are chosen.  

Nominations for Little Princess can be made by mailing the girls name, age, address, phone number, school of enrollment and parent(s) or guardian’s name(s) or downloading an application from our website and sending the information to Tiffany Adams, Little Princess Chair, 6556 Rosedale Ave.,  Reynoldsburg, OH  43068.  Entries must be mailed and postmarked by Aug. 24, to be eligible.   There will be no exceptions for candidate entries after this date.

Tomato Festival Senior King, Queen being sought

Nominations for the 2007-2008 Senior King and Queen titles are being accepted.  The competition is open to all seniors, age 60 and over who reside in the city of Reynoldsburg.  Each entry should include a resume of 100 words or less about the nominee.  Entries also need to include the nominee’s name, address, phone number, the name of the person nominating the candidate and the address and phone number of the nominator.  Winners will be recognized at the Festival’s opening ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 6 pm.  

This years Senior Royalty contest is sponsored by Kroger’s, E. Main St.  Entries should be mailed to Tiffany Adams, Sr. King and Queen Chair, 6556 Rosedale Ave., Reynoldsburg, OH  43068 and be postmarked by August 10, 2007.  Entries postmarked after August 10, 2007 will be void and ineligible.
