Remember When: Harvesting wheat

This picture shows wheat being harvested in the 1920s or ’30s on the Art and Charlyne Bullard farm located near Mechanicsburg and Five Points. Note the steam engine with a belt connected to the threshing machine. The grain is directed toward the wagon and the chaff toward the pile.

This picture was taken by Walter Greenbaum. The picture was supplied by Lyn Schener, the great niece of Walter Greenbaum and the daughter of Art and Charlyne Bullard.

The Miami Valley Steam Threshers Show was set for July 17-20 at Pasttime Park in Plain City.
