For a short time around 1916, H.C. Plimalle’s Grocery was located in the building at the corner of South Main and West First streets in London (above what is now Bill’s Place). The building also once housed a barber shop and a billiards parlor. After his time in London, Mr. Plimalle moved to Columbus to start a grocery store. He died in 1938. Columnist Earl Ballenger is a resident of London. If you have an old photo to share, call 740-852-0809.
