Raiders move to 6-0 on the season

The London Red Raiders football team traveled to the Tecumseh on Oct. 4 and bested the Arrows 48-7.

London opened the scoring with a 5-yard pass from Juane Gardner to Jayvion Stevens in the first quarter. Second-quarter scoring included a 32-yard pass from Gardner to Ethan Minner and a Caleb Sollars 1-yard run. In the third quarter, Gardner crossed the goal twice with 19-yard and 4-yard runs. Final quarter touchdown action included a Xavier Manville 21-yard run and a Brady Carter 20-yard touchdown pass to Richard Dodson. Seth Best kicked four extra points, and Sollars added a 2-pointer on a run.

Manville and Khaleb Comer led the Raider defense with six tackles apiece. Noah McClintock sparkled with two interceptions and 54 yards of returns. The Raider defense held the Arrows to 60 total yards for the night.

London is now 6-0 for the season and enters the final four games against teams with excellent records, including presently undefeated Jonathan Alder in the final contest.
