Capital Area Humane Society (CAHS) volunteer Amanda Spires (top) gets a happy greeting from Star, an American bulldog, at Groveport Town Hall’s fourth annual "Puppy Love" event on Feb. 2. Volunteers from the CAHS brought several dogs and a couple of kittens to the event to help find homes for the animals and to raise awareness of the needs animals have at the shelter. Through February, Groveport Town Hall, 648 Main St., is accepting donations of blankets, dishes, leashes, canned dog and cat food, pet treats, igloo style dog houses, pet toys, and shoeboxes, for the animals at the CAHS. For information call (614) 836-3333 or the CAHS at (614) 777-7387, or visit the CAHS Web site at www.cahs-pets.org
