Students in Mrs. Loe’s sixth grade science class at Groveport Madison Middle School South recently used the pumpkin as the source of their qualitative and quantifying data. Students rotated among four centers to make their observations and view pumpkin "guts" under the microscope. With the help School Literacy consultant, Kim Shiplett, Loe used instructional strategies like identfying similarities and differences, cooperative learning and generating and testing hypotheses to improve student learning. |
